Et je l\u2019avoue, avant d\u2019en devenir un(e) moi-m\u00eame, j\u2019avais aussi certains jugements. Alors, j\u2019ai pens\u00e9 qu\u2019il serait int\u00e9ressant de d\u00e9construire quelques-uns de ces mythes et de t\u2019aider \u00e0 mieux comprendre ce que nous faisons r\u00e9ellement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Mythe <span style=\"color: #bc9b5d;\"> #1 <\/span> \u2013 Un conseiller en orientation va te dire quelle carri\u00e8re choisir.<\/h4>\n<p>Je pense que c\u2019est l\u2019un des mythes les plus r\u00e9pandus sur le counseling de carri\u00e8re. Les gens croient souvent qu\u2019un conseiller en orientation leur dira exactement quelle carri\u00e8re choisir. Mais c\u2019est impossible ! Si j\u2019avais une boule de cristal capable de me r\u00e9v\u00e9ler la carri\u00e8re parfaite pour toi\u2026 eh bien, je serais riche ! Malheureusement, ce n\u2019est pas le cas. Le r\u00f4le d\u2019un conseiller en orientation n\u2019est pas de te dire quoi faire, mais de te guider \u00e0 travers le processus. Tu as d\u00e9j\u00e0 toutes les r\u00e9ponses en toi, mais nous avons les bonnes questions. De plus, choisir une carri\u00e8re, c\u2019est prendre en compte plusieurs facteurs. Il n\u2019existe pas une seule carri\u00e8re parfaite pour toi, tout comme il n\u2019existe pas une seule personne parfaite pour toi. Mais comment d\u00e9couvrir tout cela ? En te confiant \u00e0 ton conseiller, en t\u2019investissant pleinement et en faisant confiance au processus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Mythe <span style=\"color: #bc9b5d;\"> #2<\/span> \u2013 Les conseillers en orientation ne font que des tests.<\/h4>\n<p>Oui, il y a souvent des tests dans le processus de counseling de carri\u00e8re, et ce n\u2019est pas sans raison : ils aident \u00e0 identifier les int\u00e9r\u00eats, la personnalit\u00e9 et les forces \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019outils standardis\u00e9s. Ces outils sont utilis\u00e9s pour orienter le processus. Dans notre cas, nous utilisons les tests seulement si n\u00e9cessaire. Nous commen\u00e7ons par l\u00e0 o\u00f9 tu en es, puis nous d\u00e9terminons si des tests peuvent \u00eatre utiles. Mais attention, ces tests ne d\u00e9tiennent pas la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 absolue. Ce qui m\u2019am\u00e8ne \u00e0 mon prochain mythe\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Mythe <span style=\"color: #bc9b5d;\">#3<\/span> \u2013 Les tests d\u00e9tiennent la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 absolue.<\/h4>\n<p>Le r\u00e9sultat des tests d\u2019orientation est bas\u00e9 sur les r\u00e9ponses que tu as fournies, en fonction de l\u2019\u00e9tat d\u2019esprit dans lequel tu \u00e9tais \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0. M\u00eame s\u2019ils offrent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un portrait assez pr\u00e9cis de ta personnalit\u00e9 et de tes int\u00e9r\u00eats, ils ne repr\u00e9sentent pas une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 absolue. Le but de ces outils est de t\u2019aider \u00e0 poursuivre ton exploration et \u00e0 approfondir ta r\u00e9flexion sur ce que tu veux vraiment. Pour expliquer cela \u00e0 mes clients, j\u2019utilise souvent cet exemple : si le test te sugg\u00e8re \"clown\" comme carri\u00e8re potentielle, cela ne signifie pas que tu dois absolument devenir clown ou que le test est erron\u00e9. Cela signifie simplement qu\u2019il y a probablement un \u00e9l\u00e9ment de cette profession qui te correspond. Peut-\u00eatre es-tu une personne qui aime divertir ou qui prend plaisir \u00e0 r\u00e9pandre de la joie autour d\u2019elle. En partant de cette information, nous pouvons t\u2019aider \u00e0 explorer des carri\u00e8res qui int\u00e8grent ces aspects et qui pourraient vraiment te correspondre.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Mythe <span style=\"color: #bc9b5d;\">#4<\/span> \u2013 Le counseling de carri\u00e8re est uniquement destin\u00e9 aux jeunes qui n\u2019ont pas encore commenc\u00e9 leur carri\u00e8re.<\/h4>\n<p>Bien s\u00fbr, c\u2019est une option. Aider les jeunes adultes et les \u00e9tudiants du secondaire \u00e0 d\u00e9terminer leur prochaine \u00e9tape fait certainement partie de notre r\u00f4le en tant que conseillers en orientation. Mais le counseling de carri\u00e8re est pertinent pour les personnes de tous \u00e2ges et \u00e0 toutes les \u00e9tapes de leur vie. En fait, la moiti\u00e9 de notre client\u00e8le est compos\u00e9e d\u2019adultes en qu\u00eate d\u2019une reconversion professionnelle ou cherchant un accompagnement de carri\u00e8re. Coaching de carri\u00e8re, dis-tu ? Eh oui ! Il n\u2019est pas n\u00e9cessaire de vouloir changer de carri\u00e8re pour consulter un conseiller en orientation. Nous pouvons aussi t\u2019aider \u00e0 n\u00e9gocier un salaire, \u00e0 gagner en confiance dans ton emploi actuel, \u00e0 te pr\u00e9parer pour une entrevue importante et bien plus encore.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Mythe <span style=\"color: #bc9b5d;\">#5<\/span> \u2013 Personne n\u2019a besoin d\u2019un conseiller en orientation ; tu finiras par trouver ta voie tout(e) seul(e).<\/h4>\n<p>Il est vrai que tout le monde ne consultera pas un conseiller en orientation pour son parcours professionnel, tout comme tout le monde ne consulte pas un psychologue pour ses difficult\u00e9s personnelles. Mais souvent, improviser ne suffit pas. Pour te sentir \u00e9panoui(e) dans ta carri\u00e8re, tu dois bien te conna\u00eetre, identifier tes forces et avoir un objectif clair et d\u00e9fini. Essayer de tout comprendre par toi-m\u00eame peut parfois mener \u00e0 de multiples changements de programme ou \u00e0 des transitions de carri\u00e8re fr\u00e9quentes. Si ces changements te rapprochent de ton objectif, tant mieux ! Mais si tu as l\u2019impression de tourner en rond sans jamais \u00eatre satisfait(e), tu perds du temps qui pourrait \u00eatre investi dans un emploi ou une carri\u00e8re plus enrichissante.
